Brunch is arguably one of the best meals of the day. It’s the perfect blend of breakfast and lunch (literally) and gives you the opportunity to indulge in delicious food, playful cocktails, and great company – and still be home in time for a nap! Madison is home to a variety of restaurants with amazing brunch menus to satisfy every midday craving. Here are some of my favorite places for brunch in Madison, WI!

Take Some Fun Time For You With The Best Brunch In Madison, WI

Short Stack Eatery

301 West Johnson St., Madison, WI 53703

Short Stack Eatery was born out of a problem – back around 2010, there wasn’t really a great spot for fresh, simple breakfast food served all day long! Not to mention that the owners saw a need for local restaurants and businesses committed to fighting racial injustice and building a healthier, more inclusive community. Today, Short Stack Eatery is a thriving breakfast joint serving up sweet and savory dishes six days a week. Their Pie of the Month Club is another great reason to keep coming back for more – and it makes a fabulous gift for locals, too!

Lounge – Garver Events

3241 Garver Green, Madison, WI 53704

The Lounge at Garver Events is a stylish, sophisticated space serving up great cocktails, local and regional beer, kegged wine, and, of course, a menu of delicious Madison, WI brunch fare. Their seasonal brunch menu features delicious dishes that are creative interpretations of breakfast favorites and specialty cocktails that are refreshing and fun. The industrial ambiance is great for a brunch date or a fun morning out with friends, but the limited menu and more upscale environment may not be the best choice for families with young kids.

Marigold Kitchen

118 S Pinckney St, Madison, WI 53703

Marigold Kitchen has been a Madison, WI breakfast and brunch staple since 2001. When its new owners took over following a lengthy closure (due to COVID-19), the restaurant received a bright and beautiful facelift, including new paint, murals, and decor. It’s still delivering some of the city’s best breakfast food, though! Whether you’re looking for pancakes and waffles fresh off the griddle or a unique California or Mexico-inspired dish, Marigold Kitchen has something you’ll love. Pair your meal with their bottomless coffee, a unique signature beverage, or a refreshing cocktail for an even more special experience!

Cento

122 W Mifflin St, Madison, WI 53703

Cento is an amazing Italian restaurant in downtown Madison, WI with a menu that honors Old-World Italian traditions and modern techniques, including during brunch. They use local and Italian ingredients to deliver innovative dishes in an elegant setting. Their brunch menu features breakfast-inspired favorites like fresh eggs and indulgent French toasts, as well as Italian classics like pasta and pizzas. Treat yourself to their prix fixe Boozy Brunch, offering two brunch cocktails, an entree, pastries, and bottomless drip coffee or letterbox tea.

Bassett Street Brunch Club

444 W. Johnson St., Madison, WI 53703

Bassett Street Brunch Club knows that brunch isn’t just for the weekends – in fact, it isn’t even just for mornings! Their menu serves up “revved up” delicious brunch classics and comfort food all day and night, like sandwiches, salads, pancakes, and omelets. They’re also known for their insanely delicious donuts, made fresh in their kitchen every morning. Bassett Street Brunch Club also believes that brunch without cocktails is just…breakfast…so they have plenty of boozy (and non-alcoholic) beverages to go with your meal at whatever time of day!
